LG Unveils Wireless Smart Monitors for Seamless PC Connectivity

In a significant technological leap, LG Electronics has introduced its latest Smart Monitor series, boasting the remarkable feature of wireless connectivity to laptops and computers. The monitors leverage AirPlay 2 and Miracast support, enabling cable-free transmission for enhanced convenience.

The debut comprises two variants, a 27-inch model (27SR50F) and a larger 31.5-inch version (32SR50F), both equipped with IPS LCD panels supporting HDR10, Full HD resolution, a 60 Hz refresh rate, and a response time of up to 8 ms.

For wired connectivity, the monitors provide two HDMI inputs and two USB 2.0 ports. Additionally, they come with built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 5W integrated stereo speakers.

The LG Smart Monitors redefine wireless connectivity by implementing screen-sharing capabilities via AirPlay 2 for Macs and Miracast for PCs, allowing users to utilize the monitors wirelessly through Wi-Fi.

A standout feature of the LG Smart Monitor is the integration of webOS 23, the company’s Smart TV operating system. This includes popular streaming applications such as Netflix, Prime Video, Disney Plus, YouTube, and more. This functionality transforms the monitor into a versatile device, not only serving as a PC extension but also as a platform for watching movies, series, listening to music, and consuming content similar to a television.

Both monitors come with a compact white LG remote control featuring quick access buttons for popular streaming services.

The brand also introduces LG Home Office, featuring integrated programs like Microsoft 365 and Google Calendar to facilitate remote work. The LG Mood Music function acts as a virtual DJ, creating personalized playlists based on user preferences.

The LG Smart Monitor supports the LG ThinQ Home Hub, enabling users to control smart home devices, from light bulbs to refrigerators and washing machines, directly through the monitor.
